As tempting as it might be, it is best to leave the pimples alone. The type of treatment largely depends on the type of skin a person has. As a general rule, washing the face gently will lessen the chances of acne developing in to something bigger. Don’t wash your face too harshly though, otherwise you will push the oil and dirt that is on your face in to the pores of your skin which could end up building more acne.

Milder acne that has black heads and white heads don’t necessarily require a harsh treatment as acne that develops in to cysts. It might be worth a visit to a dermatologist, who has more knowledge about the various treatments there are for different types of acne. So while there is no definite treatment that works for every person, there are plenty of options a person can choose from. Acne shouldn’t be something that a person should have to worry about. It is an ongoing battle that teens and adults face.
